The 1953 Studebaker Starliner featured one of the outstanding American automotive designs of the 1950s. It was available as Champion, Commander and Regal versions. While the Champion version had six-cylinder engines, which could be easily identified by the S on V emblem on the hood and deck in place of the V8 emblem found on the costlier Commanders. Studebaker's side valve six was lighter than the V8 too.
