MERCEDES BENZ 500SL (R129) (1:18 MAISTO)

The Mercedes R129 was designed in 1984 to replace the ageing R107. It featured many innovative details like electronically controlled damping and a hidden roll-over bar which extended automatically. Mercedes also chose the famous W124 shortened chassis for this car. It was available in convertible and hardtop versions. This particular variant was notable as Diana, Princess of Wales owned one.

This model is built by Maisto and is finely detailed. The roll over bar extends and the interior is quite nice.
